Installation Guide

Required Skills: Basic DIY ability; comfort with opening small appliances and handling soldered or plug-in connectors. No advanced electronics knowledge required for plug-in type replacements. Soldering skill needed if the original pack is wire-soldered.

  1. Power off the device — ensure the appliance is switched off and unplugged from any charging base before opening.
  2. Open the battery compartment — use a suitable screwdriver (usually Phillips #00 or #0) to remove the back cover or battery access panel.
  3. Remove the old battery pack — carefully disconnect the connector or, if soldered, note the wire polarity (+ / −) before desoldering.
  4. Verify voltage and connector match — confirm the replacement pack voltage (2.4V or 3.6V) and connector type match your device’s original specification.
  5. Connect the new pack — plug in the connector or solder the wires, observing correct polarity. Red = positive (+), Black = negative (−).
  6. Reassemble and test — replace the cover, secure all screws, then place the device on its charger for a full initial charge cycle before use.

Important Notes

  • ⚠️ Verify compatibility before ordering — check your device’s original battery voltage, capacity, and connector type. When in doubt, contact us with your device model number.
  • ⚠️ Do not mix chemistries — never mix Ni-MH and Ni-Cd cells in the same pack or use a Ni-Cd charger on a Ni-MH pack, and vice versa.
  • ⚠️ Polarity must be correct — reversed polarity will damage the device and may cause the battery to overheat.
  • ⚠️ Custom connector available — if your device uses a non-standard connector or cell arrangement, contact us before purchase so we can configure the pack correctly.
  • ⚠️ Initial charge recommended — fully charge the new pack before first use to achieve rated capacity.
  • ⚠️ Not suitable for direct primary-cell replacement — this is a rechargeable pack; it must be used with a compatible charging circuit inside the device.
