Installation Instructions & Compatibility Check

Before installing the replacement battery, please verify the following points carefully to ensure a proper fit and safe operation:

Discharge connector (EC5) pin length: Check that the EC5 plug pin length matches your device socket. A too-short or too-long pin may result in poor contact or inability to connect.
Balance connector wire count: The XH-5P/7P balance connector has 5 wires or 7 wires (pins) corresponding to the 4S cell configuration. Verify your charger or device balance port accepts a 5-pin XH or 7-Pin EH connector before connecting. We can convert 5P to 7P or 7P to 5P.
Physical dimensions — housing fit: Measure the battery compartment or original battery housing of your jump starter. Compare with the dimensions listed in the variant table (T×W×L). The replacement battery must fit within the original enclosure without forcing.
No original housing: If your jump starter does not have a separate battery housing or the battery is mounted openly, dimensional fit is less critical — simply ensure the connectors reach and the battery can be secured safely inside the device.
Polarity check: Before connecting, confirm the positive (+) and negative (−) terminals match your device. Reverse polarity may damage the jump starter.
Power off before installation: Always switch off the jump starter device before replacing the battery to prevent accidental short circuits.

Battery Storage Guidelines

Proper storage is essential to maintain Li-Po battery performance and safety. Follow these guidelines when the battery is not in use:

Storage voltage: Store at approximately 15.2V (3.8V per cell) — do not store fully charged (16.8V) or fully discharged (below 12.0V) for extended periods. Most Li-Po balance chargers have a dedicated “Storage” mode for this purpose.
Storage temperature: Store in a cool, dry environment between 10°C and 25°C (50°F – 77°F). Avoid direct sunlight, vehicle interiors in summer, or areas near heat sources.
Storage duration: If storing for more than 3 months, check the voltage periodically and top up to storage voltage if needed. A deeply discharged Li-Po may become unrecoverable.
Storage container: Store in a fireproof Li-Po safety bag or a metal container as an added precaution against accidental swelling or thermal events.
Avoid humidity: Do not store in damp or wet environments. Moisture can corrode connectors and degrade cell performance.
Keep away from flammables: Never store near fuel, solvents, or other flammable materials.
Inspect before use after storage: Before using a stored battery, inspect for swelling, deformation, or leakage. Do not use a battery that shows any signs of damage.

Safety Information

No PCM Inside: Use only with jump starters that have built-in battery protection. Charge voltage: 16.8V (4.2V/cell). Do not short-circuit, puncture, or expose to fire. Avoid discharge below 12.0V. Operating range: -20°C to +60°C. A swollen Li-Po is a fire hazard — stop use immediately.
