The FMA 7.2V 80mAh Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery is a purpose-built replacement for the backup battery inside GETRONICS Gtalarm GT945 and compatible self-powered car and motorbike alarm sirens. This battery keeps your alarm siren operational even when the vehicle's main power is disconnected — a critical anti-theft feature.

All four variants share the same voltage (7.2V) and capacity (80mAh), but use different cell shapes and dimensions to fit different alarm siren internal compartments. Please select the variant that matches your original battery's physical form.

Understanding the 4 Variants — Same Power, Different Cell Shape

The key difference between variants is the physical shape, arrangement, and dimensions of the 6 Ni-MH cells, not the electrical performance. Choose based on the shape and size of your original battery pack:

How to Replace the Battery

1. Disarm your vehicle alarm system before starting.
2. Locate and open the alarm siren unit (usually mounted in the engine bay).
3. Disconnect the old battery by unplugging its connector.
4. Connect the new FMA battery — match the connector type and observe correct polarity (red: +, black: −).
5. Secure the battery inside the siren unit and close the housing.
6. Re-arm the alarm system and verify normal operation.
7. The battery will recharge automatically during normal vehicle use.

Safety Information

• Charging: Recharged automatically by the alarm system's built-in circuit. Ensure the circuit is rated for Ni-MH (max 1.4V per cell). Do not charge externally with a Li-ion charger.
• Storage: Store at 40–60% charge in a cool, dry place (15–25°C). Top up every 3–6 months if stored long-term.
• Operation: Do not short-circuit, puncture, crush, or disassemble. Avoid exposure to water or moisture.
• Temperature: Operating range: −10°C to 60°C. Charge within 0°C to 45°C only.
